The Role

We’re seeking a Senior Contract Manager to join our growing Property Investment team. This is a key role tasked with managing and delivering planned/cyclical capital and revenue projects and other contracted maintenance services including energy efficiency initiatives that will support Midland Heart to achieve its net zero carbon targets, ensuring that they are delivered in a timely, cost effective, customer focused and safe manner.

You’ll lead and manage the performance and development of your Contract Management team providing expertise, coaching and other development support as required. You’ll be accountable for financial management of multiple contracts and projects, delivering annual budgets and revenue projects whilst building strong professional relationships with colleagues across the organisation, including finance and procurement. You’ll be required to deliver in a timely, cost effective, customer focused and safe manner.

Our ideal candidate? Your CV and covering letter will highlight the following:

  • You’ll hold a relevant HNC or equivalent and/or possess significant technical experience in construction or maintenance related contract management.
  • You’ll have proven experience of leading procurements both above and below thresholds of Tenders Electronic Daily / Official Journal of the European Union / Find a Tender.
  • Knowledge of PAS 2035 and other relevant retrofit standards and frameworks.
  • Proven experience and understanding of compliance legislation and strong knowledge of contract law.
  • People management experience, with a proven ability to lead and motivate your team to achieve challenging targets and objectives, using your excellent communication skills and ability to build strong professional relationships.
