The Role

We’re seeking a System Integration & Testing Engineer to join our highly-valued in-house Business Solutions Team; a key role which’ll support us to ensure that our people have the tools required to deliver a truly brilliant service. This role is offered on a Fixed-term Contract basis covering maternity leave until August 25.

Reporting to our Head of Business Solutions, you’ll work closely with our Engineers, Project teams, Development teams and key business stakeholders to plan, manage and execute testing for a range of new software, system changes and upgrades.

Responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Defining and documenting test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Conducting testing throughout the development and implementation lifecycle, both exploratory and scripted, using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Providing expert guidance on system integration, defining running and reporting on stress, regression, integration and performance tests appropriate to each change.

Our ideal candidate?

  • You’ll be an ISTQB or ISEB Certified Tester at Intermediate certificate Level or hold an equivalent qualification or experience.
  • You’ll have a strong knowledge of the test life cycle and test activities as well as experience of planning, scheduling and managing manual and automated testing activities across both systems change and software development.
  • Experience of working with Housing Management Systems, Asset Management and Repairs/Scheduling systems is beneficial, but not essential.

As a Smart Working organisation, you can expect a balance of working from our Birmingham, Bath Row office and remotely from home – 3 days per week will be spent working from our Birmingham office, but this may vary depending on business need.
