The Role

Are you passionate about driving projects that streamline business systems and processes to ensure colleagues can provide critical services to our tenants to the highest possible standard? If so, we’re seeking a Project Manager to join our Technology & Transformation Team on a Fixed-term Contract for the next 18 months; leading a portfolio of business-critical change projects throughout the entire project management lifecycle, with a focus on system replacement / digital transformation projects.

Matrix managing a range of internal and external resources and working with stakeholder across our organisation, you’ll scope the vision, strategy and roadmap for key projects and manage their delivery to ensure they are impactful, timely and within budget. Importantly, you’ll also ensure a smooth transition from project to business as usual, ensuring that project impact is embedded and sustainable.

You’ll be joining us at an exciting time as we embark on replacing the systems that support us to carry out asset management and repairs across a portfolio of 70,000 homes across the Midlands. Working closely with technical teams, you’ll take a leading role in the delivery of the project and the business change requirements that go along with it!

Our ideal candidate? We’re seeking a seasoned Project Manager who acts with professionalism and integrity, who brings a people-focussed approach to the projects they deliver. You’ll also demonstrate the following:

  • You’ll hold a professional qualification (Prince2, Agile, APMP or similar) with hands-on experience of managing business change projects through the entire project lifecycle, on-time and within budget - experience of delivering projects related to Housing Management/Repairs systems is preferred, but not essential.
  • You’ve strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with project resources and executive sponsors.
  • You’ve the ability to maintain clear and concise communication throughout the project life cycle and when required, the ability to influence others and secure co-operation or ‘buy-in’.
  • Finally, our Projects Team embrace change; you should be ready to challenge existing approaches, identify opportunities and suggest improvements that will lead to more effective and efficient ways of working, not only in the delivery of projects but all aspects of work!

To maintain visibility with customers and strong working relationships across our organisation, the successful candidate should expect to work from a Midland Heart site 3 days per week.
