As an Assistant HR Business Partner, you'll be at the heart of our people strategy. You'll work closely with our HR Business Partners, managers and colleagues across an assigned business area to provide proactive and people-focussed HR support and advice that drives performance and colleague engagement. Key Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • True Business Partnering: Building positive and effective relationships to be a credible stakeholder that business areas can rely on to provide challenge, support in key decisions, and planning of people initiatives.
  • HR Advisory & Employee Relations: Providing pragmatic and legally compliant HR advice and support to managers and frontline colleagues on a range of employee relations issues including disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management and absence management.
  • HR Projects & Initiatives: Contributing to the delivery of HR projects and initiatives that support our strategic objectives and enhance the employee experience, including change management (e.g. restructures, TUPE), engagement and wellbeing.
  • Data Management: Maintaining accurate HR records and producing regular people related insights that identify solutions and inform decision-making.
  • Policy Development: Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, best practice and strong organisational performance.

We’re a smart working organisation but this is a highly visible role to our internal customers, so you’ll need to be present in the office 4 days per week, but we are also flexible to ensure you can meet and enjoy life’s challenges and opportunities throughout the year.

Our ideal candidate? You’ll have achieved or be working towards a level 7 CIPD qualification. You’ll have significant, demonstrable experience working in a generalist HR role, through which you would have applied your in-depth knowledge of employment legislation, case law and HR practices to manage complex employee relations matters through to completion. Importantly, you’ll demonstrate a track record of building strong working relationships with stakeholders, which have enabled you to challenge thinking, influence decision making and find creative solutions that deliver positive business outcomes.
