The Role

Do you have experience of producing bank reconciliations and journalling, with high attention to detail and a talent for analysis? We’re seeking a Treasury Assistant to join our friendly Treasury team, where you’ll work alongside the team responsible for the robust optimisation of the organisations cash flows.

As a Treasury Assistant, you’ll contribute to the success of the team by:

  • Producing daily and monthly reconciliations for circa 100 bank accounts
  • Maintaining Cashbooks and journalling into the General Ledger – averaging 900 transactions a month on the main bank account
  • Preparing intercompany transfers for movement of funds
  • Responding to internal customer and external supplier queries, ensuring all issues are investigated, resolved and/or escalated in a timely manner.

This role is based from our Birmingham, Bath Row office a minimum of 3 days per week. Based on business needs, there may be times you’re required onsite more frequently.

Our ideal candidate? We’re seeking an organised individual who can work to their own initiative with minimum supervision. You’ll also have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a Finance role, with experience of journalling and producing bank reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Practical experience of using Excel to review and analyse financial information.
  • Previous experience of investigating complex finance queries.
  • Strong communication skills, face to face, over the phone and via email with the ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Studying towards AAT qualification is preferred, but not essential.
