The Role

We have an exciting part time opportunity for a Lifestyle Coach to join our Retirement Living Team in  Coventry where you’ll promote active lifestyles, positive wellbeing and social inclusion within two of our schemes, Bevan Court and Poppy Court.

Bevan Court and Poppy Court are home to many customers who love nothing more than to engage in the planning and running of activities; from themed evening events to afternoon tea, no two days will be the same! Some of our customers have higher care needs and will require a little more support, your focus will be to ensure the programme of activities/events you create is inclusive for all.

Using your creative flair and ability to engage people, you’ll plan and deliver a high-quality programme of lifestyle activities to enhance the wellbeing of our customers; supporting them to live independently. You’ll be creative in identifying and implementing lifestyle activities, facilitating themed events and promoting holistic health and wellbeing in a fun and entertaining way - always ensuring that our customers have a voice in contributing towards the programme.

Our customers enjoy taking part in daytime and evening activities during the week and at weekends. Please note, some weekend and evening work will be required. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible with their working pattern to meet the needs of our customers – we’re happy to discuss how the work pattern can also be flexible to meet your need too!

Our ideal candidate? We’re looking for an engaging and adaptable individual who strives to deliver the best possible customer experience whilst balancing multiple demands. Your application will also demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • You’ll have demonstrable experience of planning, organising and delivering varied activities/events, adapted and tailored to the diverse needs of an audience.
  • You’ll have experience of working with older people with a drive to enhance inclusion and participation.
  • You’ll also have basic IT skills with the ability to create activity planners, posters, sharing information on Social Media.
  • A creative flair along with the personality needed to encourage others to try new experiences is a must.
