The Role

To support the continued safety of our tenants and the security of the homes in which they live, we’re updating our CCTV provision and establishing a new CCTV control room based at our East Midlands Hub (Hinckley, LE10 1QZ), which leads us to recruit a new team of CCTV Operatives!

As a CCTV Operative you’ll deliver an efficient and high-quality CCTV control room service, with responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Operating and monitoring CCTV, access control and other security systems in an effective manner.
  • Responding and reacting to any incidents or security issues that may arise.
  • Recording all events and actions monitored, produce written reports on incidents and ensure follow on action is undertaken.
  • Liaising with internal departments to proactively address anti-social behaviour, crime and environmental issue.
  • Working alongside emergency services and other security providers to maintain safety and security of our schemes and customers.

Please be advised that our CCTV control room will operate between 6.00pm and 8.00am, 365 days a year. As a CCTV Operative your working pattern will be an average of 42 hours per week on a rota, working 12 hour shifts.

Our ideal candidate? 

  • You’ll be registered as a frontline CCTV SIA license holder.
  • You’ll have demonstrable experience of public space surveillance.
  • You’ll be able to work in a team and independently, with excellent problem solving skills.
  • You’ll have personal resilience and the ability to manage difficult situations.
