The Role

We’re seeking a Head of Business Solutions to spearhead our efforts to further improve how we leverage technology to meet the needs of our organisation, our colleagues and tenants.

As the Head of Business Solutions, you will be instrumental in leading the design and delivery of technical solutions that underpin critical capabilities and processes across our organisation, shaping the way we interact with tenants and manage our homes. Reporting to our Director of Technology & Transformation, key responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:

  • Strategic Leadership: Defining and reviewing a systems capability strategy and future roadmap, ensuring alignment with our organisation’s strategic requirements and stakeholder engagement and buy-in.
  • Solution Design: Leading the creation and delivery of high-level and low-level application and integration solution designs.
  • Leadership and Management: Providing clear leadership to Business Solutions teams, including Testing, Application Support and Infrastructure; developing and maintaining high performing teams with the skills required to future proof our technology.
  • Governance and Compliance: Owning and embedding robust IT Governance, ensuring all solutions adhere to governance standards.
  • Cloud Migration Leadership: Drive our ongoing Cloud Migration journey, maximising the value of cloud adoption, whilst ensuring meticulous planning and alignment with approved roadmaps.
  • Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Ensuring IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery procedures are sufficient for business needs, with regular testing to maintain readiness.

We’re an organisation that values collaboration and getting around a table to solve problems. You can therefore expect to work 3 days per week from our Head Office and 2 days per week remotely.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Industry Recognised Training & Qualifications: E.g. TOGAF certification, ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification and Azure certification.
  • Leadership Experience: A proven record of leading IT teams/departments in architecture, solutions development, and application support.
  • Strategic Acumen: Proven ability in strategy writing, translating business objectives into technical vision, and developing deliverable plans.
  • Cloud Expertise: Proven experience of leading / supporting cloud migration (Azure).
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record in stakeholder management and strong supplier management capabilities.
