The Role

We’re seeking a Contract Delivery Surveyor to join the Assets team operating across the Midlands region - a key role undertaking damp and mould inspections to Midland Heart's portfolio, ensuring that our homes are maintained to the Decent Home’s Standard.

You’ll undertake intrusive full property damp and mould assessments in customer’s homes, carrying out in depth tests and completing detailed written reports of your findings. Utilising your expert knowledge, you’ll provide our customers with advice and long-term solutions to damp and mould related issues, equipping them with the understanding and the tools, needed to minimise reoccurring issues.

Importantly, you’ll manage remedial works delivered through external contractors, undertaking quality site inspections across our stock portfolio including developing key performance indicators, reviewing external contractors to ensure best value and quality is achieved and exceeded at all times. You’ll play a key role in partnership with the wider team to guarantee that our customers are provided with a seamless and high level of customer care in every aspect of the service delivered.

You can expect to carry out inspections on a day-to-day basis with travel required across Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, East and Southeast Birmingham, Warwickshire, Leicester and Northampton - mileage rate of 47p per mile in line with our Expenses Policy. We invite applications from candidates with a flexible attitude to travel as you may be required to travel to other regions within the Midland Heart portfolio to meet business needs.

Our ideal candidate? 

  • You’ll hold a HNC in Building Surveying or have equivalent technical experience
  • You’ll have experience of undertaking pre and post damp and mould surveys / inspections
  • You’ll have experience of managing contractors in line with quality standards and building regulations
  • You’ll have experience of writing detailed reports using a range of IT packages
