The Role

Due to the continued growth of our ambitious Commercial team, we’re now seeking a Procurement Officer! The team play a vital role by working with customers, suppliers and markets to ensure a range of goods, services and works are provided to the highest quality and deliver brilliant value for money.

As a Procurement Officer reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll support procurement and supplier management activities by:

  • Supporting the business through high and low value tender exercises compliantly
  • Managing the eProcurement platform
  • Carrying out due diligence on suppliers
  • Overseeing mailboxes and responding to supplier/customer queries.

Our ideal candidate? We’re seeking individuals who are passionate about running effective procurement exercises, delivering brilliant value for money and forging collaborative work relationships with customers and suppliers. You’ll also demonstrate the following experience:

  • You’ll have experience of supporting tender activities in a fast-paced environment – an enthusiasm to develop your skills in a public procurement regulated setting is a must!
  • You’ll have experience of working with procurement and finance systems and have strong IT skills, particularly Excel and etender platforms.
  • You’ll understand supply chain risk with the ability to ensure data integrity and provide concise analysis to support business decisions.
  • It goes without saying you’ll have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong supplier relationships and influence others.
