The Role

The safety of our customers is our highest priority – that’s why we’re seeking a Contract Delivery Surveyor to join our highly professional and valued Building Safety team. This is a key role managing the delivery of highly regulated gas compliance service to circa 24,000 Midland Heart homes.

Your focus will be the management of our gas compliance programme which will see you work closely with our contractor partners, to ensure that work completed under contracted services comply with current regulatory/legislative requirements and that key performance targets are achieved for respective contracts. In addition, you’ll be required to support the delivery of other critical compliance programmes within the Building Safety function including EICR, Air Source, Solar thermal/PV and other renewable technologies.

Interpersonal and collaboration skills are key in this role as you’ll be negotiating and arranging access to customers’ homes for compliance inspections/services, working across departments to ensure safeguarding referrals are in place where needed. You’ll be required to undertake visits to our customers homes to support hard access cases, ensuring services are completed to the highest quality standards. Importantly, you’ll work in partnership with the wider team to guarantee that our customers are provided with a seamless and high level of customer care in every aspect of the service delivered.

Our ideal candidate?

  • You’ll have strong track record of delivering Building Safety/Compliance programmes such as Gas, EICR, or M&E
  • You will have a good understanding of Health and Safety in the work place, quality standards and building regulations needed to identify building defects and their remedies
  • You’ll be a competent user of IT packages including Excel, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to consistently produce accurate and insightful compliance reports
  • You’re able to engage positively with a diverse group of customers, negotiating and influencing appropriately to achieve targets
  • You’re able to work collaboratively across internal and external teams to deliver the best possible service to the customer.

This role is based from our Bath Row, Birmingham office and will include driving to properties across Midland Heart’s portfolio - please be advised that, due to the nature of this role, applicants must hold a full valid driving license and have access to a vehicle for business use.
