Are you passionate about cooking great quality and nutritious meals? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Cook to join our Pine Court Retirement Living PLUS Scheme in Wednesfield, located just outside the town centre – we’re a short bus ride from Wolverhampton and offer on-site parking too. This is a part time role working 24.5 hours per week on a rota including some weekends.

Our onsite restaurant is open throughout the day, serving breakfast, lunch and evening meals to our customers. From pub classics to light bites and Sunday Lunch, you’ll typically prepare 20+ home cooked meals per day – Afternoon Tea is a favourite so you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your baking skills!

You'll plan fortnightly menus that offer great quality and delicious meals, that also meet our residents cultural and dietary needs. You’ll also be competent at managing stock and budgets, including stock taking, placing orders and receiving deliveries, ensuring all activities comply with food safety standards.

Our Ideal Candidate? We are looking for people who:

• Have experience of working in a catering service
• Have a Food Safety Level 2 qualification (if you don’t have this, we will train you on this if you’re successful)
• Are confident in dealing with budgets and stock taking
• Are confident in using IT systems (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Are highly motivated to develop self and others for consistent quality service delivery.
