The Role

Midland Heart has an exciting opportunity for a Scheme Manager to join our Older People Services on a 35 hour per week, permanent basis. The role is based at Andrews House, a large mutually owned Retirement Living Scheme in Lichfield, Staffordshire.

You’ll be the face of Midland Heart at the scheme, being responsible for carrying out a range of tasks to support and deliver a brilliant Housing Management service. You’ll build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure the well-being of our customers, and the efficient running of the scheme. It goes without saying you’ll strive to ensure a brilliant customer experience is felt by all of your customers and their families.

The safety and compliance of the scheme is also a key part of your role – on a day-to-day basis you’ll be responsible for ensuring the security of the building, dealing with emergencies and working with colleagues and contractors to ensure maintenance and repairs are undertaken. You will also assist and monitor the general welfare of residents and promote their safety, independence and happiness.

We’re looking for people who:

  • Have previous experience managing client groups such as the elderly, retired or vulnerable
  • Have a passion and enthusiasm for delivering quality services to all customers in line with regulatory, contractual and internal policies and procedures
  • Have strong verbal, written & IT communication skills.
