The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intensive Housing Management Officer to join our Supported Living team. You’ll deliver an excellent housing management service to our customers, supporting them to live independently.

Firsbrook House provides re-enablement accommodation for people with long and enduring Mental Health conditions who have support needs. We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible individuals who are able to work on their own initiative. You will be able to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and have the unique ability to diffuse any given situation. 

Within this role, you’ll provide a high-quality customer service enabling vulnerable people to sustain a tenancy and to achieve independent living, whilst managing anti-social behaviour. You’ll work with internal and external stakeholders to signpost and ensure the safety of our customers. You’ll be involved with ensuring rent arrears are manged effectively and formulating payment plans to support the customer.

Our ideal candidate? You’ll be able to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable individuals, and have the ability to diffuse any given situation. You’ll be able to deal with people in an assertive, fair and consistent manner, and work on your own initiative.  An understanding of antisocial behaviours and issues which come with it is key, as well as experience within housing management and supporting individuals or families with housing.
