The Role

Like us, do you believe that an organisation’s success hinges on its ability to adapt, transform and embrace change? If so we’re seeking an Interim PMO Manager (12-month fixed term covering adoption leave) to join our highly valued Transformation function.

During your time with us, you’ll take full responsibility for leading our PMO team – managing and developing Assistant Project Managers, Project Support Coordinators and Business Systems Analysts as they themselves lead on delivering small changes, or support our Project Managers to deliver strategically important business transformation projects across our organisation.

You’ll maintain high standards and strive for excellence at all times – working to continuously improve our Project Management Methodology, PMO tools and techniques to ensure they are optimised to best serve the Project Management team and its stakeholders. Importantly, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our portfolio delivery is to deadline, within budget and impactful by amongst other things, supporting the prioritisation of projects, undertaking effective capacity and resource planning and collating and tracking the benefits realised through our projects.

Our ideal candidate? We’re seeking a suitably qualified project management practitioner (Prince2, APMP or similar), ideally with P30 (Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices) or MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) certification. You’ll come equipped with previous experience of building, developing and leading a high-performing team. Importantly, you’ll have a proven track record of effectively managing a streamlined, value-adding PMO and have a track record of delivering a PMO continuous improvement plan.
