The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intensive Housing Management & Support Officer to join our Supported Living team at our St Eugene’s Court service, based in Digbeth, Birmingham. The individuals in our service require support in the areas which come with their complex needs, such as substance abuse, mental health, anti-social behaviours and offending. This is a fixed term contract until October 2021. 

As an Intensive Housing Management & Support Officer, you’ll provide a first-class housing management service, including ensuring rent arrears are manged effectively and formulating payment plans to support the customer. You’ll also work closely with customers to create action plans tailored to them; enabling them to access partner services that support them with suitable accommodation, primary health care, education and employment, among other services that ensure the longer-term safety and security of our customers.

Our ideal candidate? An understanding of homelessness, antisocial behaviour and related social issues is key – as is previous experience within housing management and supporting people with housing needs. You’ll be able to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable individuals, with the ability to diffuse any given situation including anti-social behaviour - dealing with people in an assertive, fair and consistent manner.
