The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lifestyle Coach to join our Retirement Living Team, to promote wellbeing and social inclusion within our services through a range of creative activities, from afternoon teas to craft workshops, based at our Berryhill Village service.

Since the start of the pandemic, our Activities Coordinators have been working hard engaging with our customers in lots innovative ways, from door stop one to one chats and putting together a monthly brochure with news and puzzle, which you’ll be getting involved in!

In this role you’ll be planning and delivering a high-quality programme of lifestyle activities to enhance the wellbeing of our customers, supporting them to live independently and ensure our customers have a voice in contributing towards the programme. You’ll need to be creative in identifying and implementing lifestyle activities, facilitating themed events, and promoting holistic health and wellbeing in a fun and entertaining way. You’ll vary the programme to ensure the varied needs of customers are met, reviewing and monitoring impact and reporting the progress.

Our ideal candidate? You’ll have experience of delivering creative and inclusive activities, focusing on older people’s wellbeing. You’ll have demonstrable experience of developing and delivering varied activities, adapting to the diverse needs of the audience. You’ll have experience of working with older people and facilitating with a drive to enhance inclusion, whilst managing a budget. A creative flair is a must as the activities you develop must be engaging and entertaining, using your ability to motivate others to work towards new goals and using your own initiative.
