The Role

We have two exciting opportunities for Senior Independent Living Officer role to join our teams based at The Foyer and St Eugene’s Court services in Birmingham, providing supervisory support to the team and ensuring excellent service is delivered and maintained. The Foyer post is a permanent position, whereas the St Eugene’s Court role is a short term contract through to January 2021.

As a Senior Independent Living Officer, you will work as part of a friendly and highly professional team with responsibility for providing the very best housing-related guidance to vulnerable people. You’ll be working with them to develop the skills they’ll need to successfully maintain independent living and sustain a tenancy effectively. You’ll oversee housing management checks, managing concerns, ensuring safeguarding incidents are handled effectively.

You’ll have knowledge the welfare benefits system and issues relating to homelessness, with demonstrable experience of providing housing related support to customers with achieving effective outcomes. You’ll have a desire to help others and to see them succeed, and be capable of pulling out all the stops to make that happen. You’ll be able to work with others in a fair and assertive manner, using your excellent communication skills, with a solution focussed outlook.
