The Role

Do you enjoy evaluating and analysing, working with a variety of people and translating business need into practical solutions? Do you have experience in understanding the organisational situation and creating a shared vision for your stakeholders?

We’re seeking a Business Analyst to support our PMO to deliver a range of projects that are critical to our achieving the ambitious aims of our “Making What Matters Brilliant” corporate strategy. Throughout the project lifecycle, you’ll conduct analysis and facilitate discussion to shape ideas into viable projects – using your understanding of the business context to develop pragmatic business requirements and processes which contribute to effective business solutions.

Projects that you may contribute towards include, but aren’t limited to:

Business Reporting – A project to implement a new BI tool across the organisation with an emphasis on being to make sure our data is kept in one place and reported on directly from our systems to provide a single source of truth. Just as importantly, we’ve been looking at how to improve the presentation and accessibility of our data too, including mobile access.
Digital Programme – We’re passionate about developing teams, people and processes that deliver for our customers and importantly, for our colleagues too. Our journey is already underway following the launch of our new digital customer and colleague apps earlier this year. This project is continuing further with a significant programme of work (agile development) aiming to transform the way we deliver our services to our customers and to each other.

Who are Midland Heart? We are a large and ambitious housing organisation providing more people an affordable place to call home. We welcome people from every walk of life, at every stage of their career. We expect a lot from our people but in return you can be assured of a great place to work, where you will be well rewarded and where great people are able to succeed.  Whether you want to build your career with us, or use your experience to move on, we’re here to develop your potential.

Our Ideal Candidate? You’ll hold a relevant Degree, professional qualification (e.g. a Business Analysis Diploma) or equivalent experience. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of working on multiple projects throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with teams within both a Waterfall and an Agile environment. Importantly, you’ll demonstrate a talent for not only absorbing detail, but the ability to present this back in way appropriate to the audience, understanding the big picture and different perspectives.
