The Role

We’re looking for a driven and experienced Head of Procurement to join our Birmingham based Procurement function on an interim basis until December 2020. You’ll drive the implementation of our Procurement Strategy - leading a motivated and value adding Procurement Team to maximise value for money and support the delivery of our “Making What Matters Brilliant” corporate strategy.

Reporting to our Director of Commercial Finance, you’ll ensure our procurement activity maintains regulatory and legal compliance, whilst being a key source of procurement knowledge and support to stakeholders across our organisation – ensuring pragmatic and compliant procurement processes that deliver against savings targets and effectively meet the needs of our customer.  

Our ideal candidate? You’ll be CIPS qualified, experienced in managing and leading a Procurement Team and have a proven track record of delivering against ambitious team targets and organisational strategy. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills which you’ll use to great effect to build professional relationships and to engage and influence stakeholders. You’ll be a self-motivated individual who is able to see the bigger picture, drive continuous improvement and make decisions effectively.
