The Role

Investing in our homes is central to strengthening our position as a sector leading landlord and it’s our customers’ number one priority. To ensure our homes continue to be places where people want to live, we’re seeking an Operations Manager (Asset Delivery & Performance) to play a lead role in driving numerous high-profile investment contracts to improve the quality, comfort and safety of our homes.

Your responsibilities will include commercial, performance and budgetary control of our ambitious 5 year £100m investment plan – working with internal teams including Finance, Performance Reporting, Maintenance and Compliance to ensure that all work completed by internal providers and contractors is within budget and contract terms. You’ll also ensure the procurement of Capital and Revenue programs are delivered through building our contractor supply chain – working with procurement partners and key stakeholders to prepare technical and design specifications, cost analysis and procurement documents as required.

Our ideal candidate? You’ll have a commercial background and an excellent knowledge of systems and construction contracts such as JCT, NEC and/or NHF – underpinned by membership to a relevant professional body (e.g. CIOB, RICS). This will be coupled with an in-depth understanding of Contract Law and procurement regulations (OJEU). Importantly you’ll have an excellent track-record in construction or maintenance related procurement and contract management, as well as hands-on experience of leading change and driving the performance of teams through effective line-management.
