The Role

We’ll support you to become a fully qualified Building Control Surveyor, helping us to deliver our ambitious plans to build new, high quality houses that people are proud to call home.

You’ll gain invaluable industry based experience whilst working onsite, studying for a degree and achieving membership to the Chartered Institute of Building. Using the knowledge gained from your studies, you’ll support the team to ensure that our new homes are safe, cost effective and built to a high standard, with particular focus on the planning and construction phases.

On a daily basis you’ll be collaborating and building relationships with colleagues across the business, as well as with external contractors, designers, builders and engineers. Working closely with all stakeholders, you’ll carry out site inspections to ensure developments are using quality material and are progressing in a timely and cost efficient way.

This role will put you in a great position starting your career as a Building Control Surveyor, learning and gaining experience of the construction industry at the same time.

We’re a leading housing association, providing homes and service that enable people to live independently. We aim to be a genuinely great place to work and build your career.

Within 5 years, you'll be a qualified Building Control Surveyor with a wealth of experience and a Bachelor's Degree. You'll also have professional membership with IFE (Institute of Fire Engineers) and CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building).
