The Role

The vast majority of our customers love and care for their homes, and the communities in which they live, however, when they fail to do so our Housing Legal Team is ready to step up to protect our homes and take action against those who damage or misuse them.

Joining the team as an trainee Solicitor, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced legal professionals, applying the knowledge gained from your studies to support the case management of a range of legal disputes. Anti-social behaviour, criminal behaviour, trespass and illegal use of buildings are just a small number of the areas you’ll gain experience of. You’ll build your experience from reviewing and drafting legal documents to handling your own caseload and representing us in court.

Like any other legal professional, you should be prepared for new challenges on a daily basis. You never know what will land on the legal team’s desk next which means that, at the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll qualify with a unique range of legal experience.

We’re a leading housing association, providing homes and service that enable people to live independently. We aim to be a genuinely great place to work and build your career.

We want to get your career off to the best possible start. That’s why, at the end of your Degree Apprenticeship, you’ll not only graduate with a LLB (Hons) Legal Practice and membership to the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, but also have qualified Solicitor status with five years of industry based experience within a sector leading organisation.

Applying is easy – simply register on our careers portal, submit your referee details and in no more than 500 words, telling us about yourself, your achievements, your career aspirations and why you want to work with us!

The application deadline is the 15th January 2020.

We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Employer. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss any adjustments you might need in order to be successful in this role.
