The Role

We’re seeking a Head of Construction & Quality that’s as ambitious as our plan to build around 3,000 quality homes for truly affordable and social rent across the Midlands in the next five years – someone with the ability lead and drive the delivery of much needed homes by 2024 and beyond.

You’ll lead and manage a team of Senior Project Managers and other Construction and Delivery Team members throughout development projects of differing complexities – monitoring, forecasting and reporting on performance to ensure that they’re delivered on time, to budget and at the high quality that our tenants expect.  Importantly, you’ll use your industry knowledge to influence the direction of future programme delivery to increase time and cost efficiency – exploring, recommending and implementing new delivery strategies including modern methods of construction, supply chain management and various forms of contractor management. 

Our ideal candidate? We’re seeking a seasoned construction professional with proven experience of leading and managing complex construction development project and programmes, from planning through to handover. You’ll have an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of statutory and regulatory frameworks, as well as the key issues in the housing and development sectors, including construction best-practice. Importantly you’ll have a track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholder to face challenges and drive performance.
