The Role

Seeking a challenging yet fulfilling new role? If so we have an exciting Support Worker opportunity available within our Shoemaker Court Supported Living service, based in Northamptonshire (NN10 6BX). This role will be offered on a fixed-term basis until 31st March 2020, with the possibility of an extension beyond this.

Shoemaker Court provides temporary accommodation for families in housing need. In your role as Support Worker you'll be a visible presence at the scheme that will ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all our customers, visitors and contractors.  You'll form part of a friendly, motivated team, working closely with Housing Officers and Support Workers, providing a high quality housing related support service for all customers accessing the service to allow them to address their individual issues and enable them to maximise their independence, with the over-all aim of enabling them to move into more appropriate longer term accommodation.

This role does involve shift work including weekends, bank holidays on a rota basis.

Our ideal candidate? You'll have experience of working with vulnerable customers with safeguarding experience. We're looking for enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated individuals who are able to work on their own initiative. Key to this role is a people focused approach, with the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds effectively and diffuse any given situation.
