The Role

Ready to take your accounts payable career to the next level within a sector leading organisation that values and develops talented people? Joining us as an Accounts Payable Assistant you’ll use your accounts payable experience to contribute towards the success of a fast-paced team and in return, we’ll provide you with the opportunity to develop in your role whilst gaining exposure to our wider finance function. 

Reporting to our Accounts Payable Manager you’ll play a key role in the team with responsibilities including ensuring accurate and timely processing of purchase ledger documentation and payments, preparing for the generation of weekly payments on both BACS and cheques, as well as responding to customer queries - ensuring all issues are investigated, resolved and/or escalated on a timely basis.

Our ideal candidate? We’re seeking an individual with high-volume accounts payable experience and a sound knowledge of financial systems. You'll be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise your own workload and work to own initiative with minimum supervision. With responsibility for handling a broad range of accounts payable queries, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential to ensuring a high quality service is provided to customers. Importantly, you’ll demonstrate a desire to grow and develop your career to enhance your own experience and add as much value to our organisation as possible.
