The Role

Do you have what it takes to join our team of Resource Planners, who have the challenging role of planning the work schedule of our in-house maintenance team – ensuring a high quality and “right first time” repairs service across our 33,000 homes?

You’ll work closely with colleagues across our Customer Hub and in-house maintenance teams to schedule responsive repairs appointments between customers and multi-skilled Trade Operatives - ensuring the efficient and effectively delivery of works through constant monitoring of performance against service KPIs and performance targets. Importantly, you will support service improvement by being actively encouraged to identify new ways of working which have the potential to maximise the in-house maintenance team’s productivity, secure better value for money and ultimately provide a better repairs service to customers.

Our ideal candidate? You’ll be a dynamic thinker with excellent organisational skills - someone who strives under pressure and has the ability to manage a large and varied work load with competing priorities and deadlines. You should have some experience within a similar resource planning role, through which you would have developed some basic technical knowledge of domestic repairs and maintenance. Importantly, you’ll have the excellent stakeholder manager skills required to communicate with Multi-skilled Trade Operatives, operational managers and tenants alike.

Who are Midland Heart? We’re a large and ambitious housing organisation providing more people an affordable place to call home. We welcome people from every walk of life, at every stage of their career. We expect a lot from our people but in return you can be assured of a great place to work, where you will be well rewarded and where great people are able to succeed. Interested? Applying is easy – simply register on our candidate portal and submit a detailed CV setting out your career history with a cover letter of no more than 2 pages which showcases your career achievements and suitability for the role.
