The Role

Seeking a challenging yet fulfilling new role? If so we have exciting Support Worker opportunities available within our Complex Needs Service. We have 39 hour per week posts available at both our Holliday Rd (B21 OUQ) and Lancaster St (B4 7AR) schemes, on permanent and fixed term contracts.

Our Complex Needs Service provides accomodation and support to men & women aged 18 upwards with housing-related support needs including being at risk of homelessness / losing independence. They may also be experiencing unmet complex needs such as substance misuse issues, mental health issues, offending behaviour, history of self harm, behavioural issues, physical health needs, mild learning difficulties and vulnerability due to lifestyle/age. Both Holliday Rd and Lancaster St provide a 24 hour per day support service, 7 days per week.

As a Support Worker you will work as part of a friendly and highly professional team to provide provide a high quality housing related support service for all customers accessing the service. You will work closely with customers to identify and support them in accessing services that will allow them to address their individual issues and enable them to maximize their independence, with the over-all aim to enable them to move into more appropriate longer term accommodation.

Our ideal candidate? You'll have experience of working with customers who present with multiple and complex needs. We're looking for enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated individuals who are able to work on their own initiative. Key to this role is a people focused approach, with the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds effectively and diffuse any given situation.
