The Role

Are you a Property Lawyer seeking a challenging new role? Do you have the experience and knowledge required to contribute to the success of a small, yet highly valued legal team within a leading housing association?

As our Property Lawyer you will be given the opportunity to further develop your experience and knowledge by providing legal property advice relating to our commercial and residential properties, sales and purchases, leasehold issues, licences, property portfolio work, adverse possession claims and title anomalies including enquiries on ownership, encroachment, rights of way, boundary issues, trespassing, land title reports, disputes and much more. Our legal team pride themselves on building strong relationships with teams and personnel across the organisation. Your colleagues are your clients, meaning you will be given the opportunity to interact with and learn about departments and roles throughout our dynamic organisation, equipping you to effectively reply to queries and provide an informed service.

Whether you’re assisting in dealing with compensation claim queries, drafting letters to stop building work that is causing structural damage our properties, preventing someone from falsely claiming one of our property as theirs or dealing with the impact of large scale public events on our homes, no two days are likely to be the same!

Our ideal candidate? Our ideal candidate will be a legal professional (legal executive or a solicitor) with demonstrable experience in advising on and transacting property law matters. You’ll have great people skills, with a passion and enthusiasm for delivering a quality service. As well as being a positive people person, you’ll also be business focussed with the ability to manage and prioritise a large and varied case load.

Who are Midland Heart? We’re a large and ambitious housing organisation providing more people an affordable place to call home. We welcome people from every walk of life, at every stage of their career. We expect a lot from our people but in return you can be assured of a great place to work, where you will be well rewarded and where great people are able to succeed. Whether you want to build your career with us, or use your experience to move on, we’re here to develop your potential.

What can we offer you? We are a flexible employer, focussed on outputs. If you value the ability to work flexibly and maintain a healthy work life balance, yet still engage in a challenging legal role for an organisation that makes a real difference, then we would love to hear from you.
