The Role

Seeking a challenging yet fulfilling role? If so we have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our Eagle House Homlessness Support Service based in Stafford. This role is offered on a 20 hours per week, permanent basis.

Eagle House offers vital temporary accommodation for single people aged 18-64 who are faced with homelessness. Customers have access to ongoing advice and support which includes training in job search, benefit claims, and life skills in order to promote independent living. You will work closely with customers to identify their individual needs

As a Support Worker you will work as part of a friendly and highly professional team to provide  a safe and supportive environment for our customers, with the aim of equipping them with the skills they require to move on and successfully maintain independent living. You will assist in the delivery of customer specific packages by conducting risk and needs assessments, planning and delivering support, as well monitoring and recording progress through frequent support meetings and reviews.  

Our ideal candidate? You'll have experience of delivering positive outcomes for socially excluded individuals with housing needs. We're looking for enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated individuals who are able to work on their own initiative and willing to work shifts and cover rota as needed. Key to this role is a people focused approach, with the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds effectively and diffuse any given situation.
