The Role

When a customer calls our repairs hub they expect two things: a friendly voice at the end of the phone and to hang up knowing that their home will be repaired to the highest possible standard as quickly as possible. To meet this expectation and achieve a right first time approach, we are recruiting a Technical Support Officer to provide building and repair related technical support directly to our Customer Service Officer and Team Leaders.

As the Hub’s technical expert, you’ll liaise with planning teams, contractor supply chains and external partners to ensure optimised repair completions and a high quality maintenance service. You will work closely with telephony Team Leaders and Customer Service Officers, acting as a clear technical escalation point, whilst working with Asset Managers to proactively identify where repair orders not meeting our service standards and proactively instigating completion measures.

Our ideal candidate? You’ll hold a recognised building / M&E or supervisory site management related qualification, or equivalent level of expertise demonstrated through significant work experience. You should demonstrate a track record of achieving challenging targets and objectives using you technical abilities, good knowledge of relevant quality standards, building regulations and planning requirements.

What do you get in return? Midland Heart is passionate about providing you with a great place to work alongside our CIPD award winning reward initiative. We invest in our employees by providing learning and development opportunities, alongside a competitive salary and generous annual leave entitlement.
