The Role

Midland Heart has a fantastic opportunity for two Kitchen Assistants (2 x 9 hours per week contracts) to join our Terryspring Court Retirement Living Scheme, based in Redditch.

Working closely with our Cook, Kitchen Assistants assist in the preparation of nutritious and tasty meals, as well as serving menu items to customers during the scheme’s service times. You will also ensure a pleasant and positive dining experience for customers by assisting with loading service counters and ensuring that all tables are cleaned and re-laid when required.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have a Food Safety Level 2 qualification – or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Have experience of working within commercial kitchens.
  • Can deliver outstanding customer service for all customers and staff members.
  • Have a good knowledge of good practise relating to the catering industry.
