The Role

Midland Heart is seeking a passionate Team Leader provide effective leadership, motivation and support to a team of dedicated Rough Sleeper Outreach Workers; ensuring that they continue to provide a range of outcome focused intervention services which will enable vulnerable people to feel safe, secure and allow them to access relevant support services and accommodation.

Key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

  • Managing a team of Outreach Workers as they provide much needed services to our region’s rough sleepers; allowing them to access accommodation, benefits, health services etc.
  • Ensuring support provided incorporate timely interventions which address cultural, complex and challenging needs - documented within their Risk, Needs Assessment and Management Plans.
  • Working within Midland Heart’s policies and procedures, ensuring safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers, whilst upholding the values and ethos of our organisation.

To be successful in this role, candidates will have to demonstrate empathy, passion and commitment to the needs and aspirations of homeless and vulnerable people; coupled with hands-on experience in conducting outreach services and an understanding of customer group support needs including: substance misuse, offending, harm minimisation etc.

You should be a proven leader with experience of supervising, motivating and supporting colleagues to provide a high quality service and effectively achieve required tasks and outcomes.
