The Role

Midland Heart is seeking a Housing Management Team Leader to join our Place team, which supports the delivery of excellent customer services through innovative and proactive approaches to the management of our “places”. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our new model of service delivery within housing management and ensure our homes are places where people want to live both now and in the future.

Key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Line management of a highly professional, customer facing team.
  • Reducing avoidable contact from customers through appropriate advice, support and encouragement.
  • Providing a proactive estate management service to remove or mitigate hazards that present a risk of harm to residents, damage to our assets or negative perceptions about the place.
  • Providing professional & timely interventions to resolve tenancy breaches and reduce the risks of tenancy failures - helping customers to sustain their tenancies.
  • Effective contract management of environmental services.

We’re seeking a committed individual, with a strong track record of delivering high quality services to residents and a flexible approach that puts the customer at the heart of service delivery. You should be a proven leader, with the ability to manage estate based staff and external contractors to ensure our properties and schemes are maintained to the highest possible standards.

This role is based out of our Handsworth Office and is responsible for the management of the south central area, including central and south Birmingham, Bromsgrove and Redditch – the flexibility to travel across these and other operational areas is therefore a must.

What do you get in return? Midland Heart is passionate about providing you with a great place to work alongside our CIPD award winning reward initiative. We invest in our employees by providing learning and development opportunities, alongside a competitive salary and generous annual leave entitlement. We value diversity; whoever you are, you will be valued and respected in your role.

To apply, please register on our candidate portal and submit a comprehensive CV alongside a cover letter of no more than 2 pages, clearly explaining how you meet the requirements of this role and which demonstrates your career achievements.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is midnight on 4th March 2018

Interviews and Assessment will begin week commencing 19th March 2018.

Recruitment Agencies please note that we do not accept speculative CVs and should one be submitted, we will assume the candidate is our own.
