The Role

At Midland Heart, we are looking for a Rent Payment Officer who is highly motivated; customer focused and who has previous experience of Income Recovery to join our team at our offices in Wolverhampton.

You will be responsible for:

  • The maximisation of rental income and the recovery of rent arrears, contacting customers directly and signposting them to the relevant benefits or specialist money advice agencies.
  • You will monitor accounts ensuring early intervention and prevention of debt escalation. You will also represent Midland Heart at court and carry out evictions once all attempts to recover the outstanding debt has failed.
  • You will carry out the relevant checks and initiate the abandonment process where necessary
  • Carrying out viewings and sign- ups for properties on your patch, ensuring rent is paid in advance, and assisting with Housing Benefit or Universal Credit applications where necessary

The role is based at our Wolverhampton office but provides a service across all of Midland Heart’s geographical regions and so travel will be an essential part of the role
