The Role

We are seeking a Treasury Assistant to play a vital role in the day to day running of our Treasury team. As a leading social housing and care provider in the Midlands, Midland Heart’s treasury team plays a key strategic role in allowing our organisation to seize opportunities and deliver ambitious growth and financial performance against our Fit for The Future Corporate plan.

Our Treasury team structure means that you will deliver a wide range of corporate treasury duties, whilst having the opportunity to further develop experience in internal/external stakeholder management, securities portfolio management and supporting business planning; making this role stand out from a ‘standard’ treasury assistant position. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing cash flow and cash flow reporting
  • Stakeholder management including instructing and communicating with banks, valuers, solicitors and colleagues across the wider organisation
  • Supporting with month end and budget forecasting process
  • Managing our security portfolio

The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified finance professional (ACT, AAT, ACCA, ACMA or ACA) with a firm understanding and experience of corporate treasury. Importantly you will have a hunger to further your experience across areas including securities and external stakeholder management. The role is busy and varied, so it is vital that you are able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively. Attention to detail and accuracy are key, as duties undertaken by the role are critical to the success of the wider organisation.
