The Role

Midland Heart is seeking a Project Manager (Construction and Delivery) to join a highly successful Development team, within our UK Top 10 housing organization. This is an exciting time to join us as we drive forward our plans to build 2,350 much needed homes for social and affordable rent between 2017 and 2022. This role will be instrumental in achieving this ambitious aim by managing and delivering high quality development projects across the Midlands. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the purpose of this role is to:

  • Take responsibility for the management and delivery of development projects, ensuring that the construction our new homes meet all statutory and contractual requirements as well as Midland Heart’s policies and strategies
  • Assist in maintaining effective line of communication with key internal and external project contacts; ensuring colleagues and clients are informed of timescales and responsibilities
  • Ensuring key targets are achieved by proactively contributing to the work of the Development Construction and wider Development Team

The importance of this role in achieving our ambitious development targets means that we are looking for a strong construction project manager who doesn’t shy away from a challenge. Our ideal candidate will possess a housing or construction qualification related to the housing sector or equivalent experience. Experience of working in a development or related technical environment, utilizing a full range of project management tools and techniques is a must, as is knowledge of construction contracts and experience of managing capital projects and budgets.
