The Role
A unique opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Junior Finance Business Partner to join Midland Heart’s growing and highly commercial Finance function. With support and guidance you’ll assist in the driving of Midland Heart’s financial performance in line with our corporate strategy objectives for 2020 and beyond. This is a very rounded opportunity which will provide exposure to, and experience of, the full range of Finance Business Partnering activities. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Working with the Finance Business Partner to contribute to the budget process and providing budget performance feedback to the business.
- Contributing to the monthly forecasting process by providing the information on which they are prepared.
- Production of accurate monthly management accounts for area of responsibility – identifying trends and business reasons supporting under/over performance.
- Attending SMT / budget holder meetings to present simple financial information.

Our ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA ACMA) with experience of producing management accountants, budgetary control and a good knowledge of Excel (Lookups, sumif, pivot tables etc.). However, what distinguishes a Finance Business Partner from a Management Accountant is their ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with stakeholders up to senior management level, to provide the accurate and relevant financial information and advice which informs business decisions. We are therefore looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail and an ability to juggle the wide variety of tasks and challenges that this role will provide.
