The Role

At Midland Heart we believe that every customer should be able to live in an environment they can afford, where they feel safe, are empowered, can shape services and in which where appropriate their care and support needs are met. Oakwood Lodge is an extra care scheme based in Walsall, Wolverhampton providing independent living to our customers.                                                                                 

We are now looking to appoint a reliable and flexible Care and Support Worker to cover days with flexibility and to cover nights if needed. As a Care and Support Worker you will provide care and support to include self-care, domestic duties, activity planning and involvement, updating care and support plans and providing an active support to our customers.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have a passion and enthusiasm for delivering quality services to vulnerable people.
  • Are able to demonstrate empathy whilst enabling people to maximise their independence
  • Able to offer close personal care, for example assistance to support bathing
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
