An opportunity has arisen for a Housing Options Advisor to join our Newcastle Housing Advice (NHA) team. As a Housing Options Advisor you will work as part of the team to provide a housing options and advice service including helping to administer the Homes Direct Choice Based Lettings Scheme and provide comprehensive housing options advice and assistance to customers.

You will also be responsible to work alongside the Newcastle Housing advisors and the Council’s Private Sector Officers to deliver practical and innovative solutions to support and sustain tenancies to prevent homelessness and to increase the supply of good quality suitable accommodation within the private rented sector.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible individual who is able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team to deliver and meet objectives. You will be able to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and have excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with both colleagues and customers.
