The Role

Building relationships is at the heart of what we do. So it’s no surprise we’re so passionate about our people. After all, they’re just as passionate about the communities we serve.

We’re committed to becoming one of the most efficient providers of affordable housing and community investment services. And while we exist to put customers first, create opportunity and enthuse our customers, we also strive to create an ambitious, inclusive place to work, where we recognise that every single one of us makes a difference.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced housing professional to join our Income Legal Team. With excellent technical and customer service skills, the successful candidate will have experience in the social housing field, and manage a caseload to include possession, disrepair, rent arrears and service charge issues.

The ideal candidate must be flexible, organised and able to work to tight deadlines. You will also play a key role to further the growth and success of the department.

The role is based at our Birmingham Office and will involve extensive travel to County Courts across the wider Midland Area.

Therefore if you have sound knowledge of Housing Law and Civil Procedure Rules, and have a tactful approach to problems and able to handle difficult situations, then we would like to hear from you.

All successful candidates will be subject to a Disclosure Barring Service check and costs will be met by Midland Heart.

If you are a disabled candidate and require a hard copy pack or a different format, for example large print, please contact the HR department on 0845 850 1020 ext 6555.

Please do read the role profile before you begin your application. CVs will not be considered, so please complete the application form in full.

Midland Heart aspires to be a digital organisation that minimises its impact on the environment. Wherever possible, we will conduct transactions digitally rather than by paper and ask that current and future employees share this commitment. Where required, we will support colleagues to be digitally enabled.
